This is why you need to meet the lawyer and spend some time in his company before signing a contract with him. Should you feel uncomfortable in his company, it is advisable to look for another attorney even if you cannot tell the source of discomfort.

It is also very important to have a written contract with your lawyer. Most lawyers know this and will not hesitate to give you a written contract. However, if a lawyer is hesitant to sign contract, you should treat this as red flag and continue with the search.

Another very important tip is the timing. The demand for good lawyers is usually very high and most of them get booked several months in advance. As such, you should also follow cue and make advance booking if you do not want to miss out on the best. Otherwise, you will have to settle on an alternative attorney who may not be as good as your initial choice.
