One Of A Kind Holiday Wreaths Lawrence Kansas Homeowners Will Want To Display

Getting creative during the holidays is something many people do. Sometimes people you never thought of as crafty are suddenly buying how to books and glue guns. If you have caught the arts and crafts bug and want to try your hand at some simple projects, holiday wreaths Lawrence Kansas decorators would approve of are a good way to start.

If you're one of those people who still subscribes to and reads print magazines, then has trouble throwing them away, making a magazine wreath is a good project. You don't need many supplies, but you will have to sacrifice some magazine pages. Cutting out the little squares is the most time consuming part of the project. It can be accomplished while you are doing something else, like watching TV.

You can make a similar wreath using old greeting cards. Recycling them is a much better idea than just throwing them out. It's going to take a good number of cards and a stencil in the shape of a holly leaf. After you've drawn the leaves and cut them out, gluing them to a wreath form is a simple step. The more leaves you attach, the more luxurious your wreath will be.

If you have access to some old neckties, you can make a unique and creative wreath design by cutting the ties up and folding them over a donut form. If you're using ties that belong to a relative, it's a good idea to get permission to destroy their neck wear. Otherwise you can pick them up for next to nothing at thrift stores. The necktie hanging bow is the only tie not cut.

A great idea for a kitchen nook is a wreath made from tea bags and clothespins. If you are a tea drinker, you probably already have a drawer full of different tea bags. Once you've cut some cardboard into a donut, you can attach the clothespins and add the tea bags. This way guests can choose the kind of tea they want when they visit.

Another great kitchen wreath idea is the cookie cutter one. This is one you can make quickly without spending much money of supplies. All you need are a dozen star shaped cookie cutters, some paper clips, and tie twists. You arrange the cutters in a circle and secure them with the clips and ties. Adding sprigs of pine or holly and a ribbon to hang it, takes a few more minutes.

Cork wreaths are perfect projects for wine loving craftsmen. You might have to start saving corks earlier in the year in order to have enough for a wreath. Along with the corks, you need wire and little jingle bells. Drilling holes in the corks is the trickiest part. Alternating corks and bells, you will have the project done and hanging above your bar in no time.

Anybody can buy a wreath and hang it on the door. It takes creativity and a little determination to create one yourself. When you do, you have a one of a kind decoration that will be the envy of all your friends.
